Delivery
Q : How much will it cost for my order to be delivered? Our postage charges depend on your order's weight and geographical destination. To work out how much Postage and Packaging will cost you, simply add the item(s) you are interested in into your basket. Then select the country where you want the order to be delivered and the postage band corresponding to this country then click on "go" to see your P&P charge as well as the grand total for your order.
Q : When will my order be delivered?

UK deliveries:
Orders weighing up to 1 kg are sent via Royal Mail First Class take up to 2 working days after your payment has cleared. Orders heavier than 1 kg are dispatched via Royal Mail Standard Parcel and take between 3 and 5 working days to reach you, once your payment has cleared.

European deliveries:
Our international orders are dispatched via Airmail. Delivery usually takes 4 working days to Western Europe and 5 working days to Eastern Europe after your payment has cleared. For insurance reasons, we do not dispatch packages heavier than 2 kg at a time outside the UK. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause.

Deliveries to the Rest of the World:
Our international orders are dispatched via Airmail. Deliveries outside Europe usually take 7 working days after your payment has cleared. For insurance reasons, we do not dispatch packages heavier than 2 kg at a time outside the UK. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause.

Returns and Refunds
Q : What are Barton & Barton’s Refund Policy and Return Procedure?

You must inform us within 7 days of delivery of your intention to return an item. Phone us on +44 (0)78 10 48 38 28*, email us at or fax us on +44 (0)1252 718533 with your name, daytime telephone number, order number and reasons for returning the item. You may wish to return an item for two reasons:

  • The item is damaged or faulty: Barton & Barton will refund your purchase in full, upon receipt of the damaged item. We will further refund you for the fee of the item’s postage back to us. We only request that you send us the item by recorded delivery and wrapped as originally.
  • The item is unwanted: Barton & Barton will refund the price of the item upon its safe return, within 14 days of delivery. In this instance, carriage fees (i.e. delivery and return postage fees) are not refundable. We cannot accept liability for damages during return transit. We therefore advise you to ensure the item is adequately wrapped and insured so as to cover its value. Furthermore, returning the item by recorded delivery, registered post or courier will give you proof of delivery. Unwanted items can only be returned if unused and in re-saleable condition.

Q : Is it safe for me to leave my credit card and personal details on Barton & Barton’s website?

1. Credit Card Security
The purchase area of our site is secure – we use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to ensure the information passed between your computer and our site is encrypted and thereby unreadable when intercepted by unauthorised people.

2. Personal Information Protection
We store your postal and email addresses as well as your purchase preferences off-line. They are accessible by one person only (Sophie Bénard, Co-founder) and are used to allow you to benefit from exclusive offers and previews of particular relevance to you.

Because we don’t view our customers as a commodity, we do not sell nor swap your personal details with outside organisations. Moreover we do not wish to violate your privacy by bombarding you with junk mail, cold calls, unwanted faxes and emails. We will only contact you when we think it might benefit you, under the strict condition that you agree to us doing so.

To remove your details from our mailing list, please email us at with your name and address and stating your wish not to be contacted by us.

Ordering System & Payment Methods
Q : How do I place an order?

1) Click the "Add to basket" button corresponding to your chosen item. The content of your basket is then displayed and you are given the option to go on shopping or to proceed to the checkout.

2) Before you reach the checkout, you are first allowed to make amendments to the content of your basket. Once you are happy with this, click on the "checkout" button.

3) At the checkout, fill in the required information and remember to choose your payment method before clicking on the "proceed" button.

4) You will then be allowed to enter the rest of your payment details and thereby finalise your order.

Q: How can I pay for my order?

Credit Card** - Online
You can safely pay online by submitting your personal and credit card details to our secure server.

Credit Card** - by Phone
Call us on +44 (0)78 10 48 38 28*** between 8am and 8pm. Please have your credit card details ready.

Credit Card** - by Fax
Fill in and then print out the form which appears after you opt for this payment method at the checkout. Please, fax this form to us on +44 (0)1252 718 533.

Credit Card**, Cheque*** - by Post
After choosing the payment method, print out and fill in our postal order form and send it along with your credit card details or a cheque in UK pounds sterling to:
